Making a Great Beer

Making beer is a special thing for me. I've enjoyed spending holidays and other celebrations, with family and friends, enjoying fine homebrews. I remember my first home brew, an all-grain honey hefeweisen, with absolutely no brewing experience whatsoever. It was a traumatic and transformational experience. As I snapped the lid onto the fermenting bucket, I was certain that the brewing session had been a total disaster! When my father and I cracked open the first few bottles we were blown away and my brewing obsession began.

So what does it take to make a great beer? Process? Ingredients? Experience? Creativity? Elbow grease? All of those are essential, but there is another ingredient... passion–the key ingredient of anything worth doing. I've brewed when it was 20 degrees and snowing, and 90 degrees and counting. Murphy's Law has always been in effect. BUT through it all my passion to create great beers has persisted.

A chance conversation with a fellow co-worker over a few craft beers hatched the idea that we should explore the possibility of making craft beer professionally. On a journey through several months our idea evolved. The goal wasn't JUST about making unique craft beers anymore, it was about finding out how to enjoy these beers while helping others in the process. We wanted to form a company where we could give back with every beer, and that's what we're going to do. Every time you lift a glass of Samsaric Brewing Co. beer, you'll be helping someone who's not fortunate enough to do the same. We hope that you'll embrace this concept because we're dedicated to it.
